The Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent shelter-in-place measures have thrust us into an unprecedented and unfamiliar season, altering our plans and canceling our trips. The weight of this situation hangs heavy, and the daily news only adds to the sadness and anxiety. However, amidst it all, when I lift my gaze to the majestic mountains, the vast sky, or the boundless oceans, and when I observe the beauty of the natural world and its creatures, I can tangibly sense the presence of God. In Him, I find unwavering HOPE and a deep sense of peace.

Psalm 121 resonates with my soul, reminding me of the eternal source of help that surpasses human understanding. It says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” It reassures me that God is vigilant and ever-watchful, never allowing my steps to falter. He neither slumbers nor sleeps; He is the constant guardian of our lives. The Lord serves as our shelter, providing shade and protection from the scorching sun and the darkness of the night. He keeps us safe from all harm and faithfully watches over our lives, both in our present circumstances and throughout eternity. Our journeys, our arrivals, and our departures are under His vigilant care.

The Hope series revolves around the beauty of God’s creation and the uplifting power of His words. It is my earnest desire that this series serves as a catalyst to restore your hope, renew your joy, and bring peace to your heart. In the midst of uncertainty and challenges, may you find solace and strength in the words of Romans 15:13, which proclaims, “May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
