In this dark world, I wonder if there is hope. I need to see and feel the evidences. I need the light more than ever.

When I look up at the sky, the sun rises from the horizon, the light breaks the darkness and lights up the sky, I feel hopeful. Every morning has it’s own sunrise scene. God, the creator, painted the sky for his purpose. Sometimes, it’s dark and heavy. Sometimes, it’s bright and joyful. But the sun is always there. And for me, I am chasing Him, the light and the hope. Because His love and mercies are new every morning and they never fail. As Lamentation 3:22-23 said: “ It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. The are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

When I saw Claude Monet’s Lilly pond at New York Museum of Modern Art, I was amazed by its color, brush strokes and texture.

I created this series to show my admiration for Monet by using Chinese Splash-ink Painting style.
